170. Hello dumbass, he was doing those commercials BEFORE he was ever in House! Just because he's famous and highly paid now doesn't mean he always was. Actors go a long time between jobs and a lot of them do rely on doing ads to make enough money to feed their families, so get down off your high horse. If he's still doing them it's most likely because he has a contract he is tied in to and has no choice!

Yes thanks I'm British so I did know that. "Feed their families" is just an expression. Living in London is expensive, people have mortgages to pay, royalties from the shows that made him famous (that were all made some years ago) aren't going to be so big he didn't still have to work.

OK first it wasn't me who wrote that Jesus comment, I'm not even religious.

Second, the whole idea of this community is to submit things anonymously, that doesn't mean I don't live by my convictions in real life. If it's even relevant there are a lot of jobs I'm qualified for that I haven't done because of exactly that.

Agreed! Sometimes it probably never occurs to people doing voiceovers etc to think about stuff like that - there's just not time. And Laurie's always struck me as being "on the side of the angels" with regard to ethical issues. This isn't Jeremy Clarkson we're talking about, after all... ;-)
