103: Much as I love Katekyo Hitman Reborn, Amano really, really suck when it comes to female characters. I've resigned myself to ignore them as much as possible.
104: I never quite understood what they meant about George being a "tomboy", since the equivalent of that word in my language went out of use sometime in the sixties, I think (I grew up in the eighties). She seemed a perfectly normal girl to me.
122: Maybe you should consider that people might have more reasons to abhor that sort of behaviour than just a desire to harsh on your squee?
Also, this is a rare sighting of the "rabid yaoi fan"! We'd better study it carefully; I've often seen people complain about them ,but I hardly ever see one these days. As a common yaoi fan, I'm both fascinated and revolted.

(Unfortunately, I think this is what most people see when they first enter the anime/manga fandom. In fact, with a couple exceptions I knew beforehand, the only kind I saw for about 4 years...)

I remember starting out in the yaoi fandom just before Gundam Wing became available in the U.S. (about nine years ago?) and in the beginning I think I ran into a lot of yaoi fans with this attitude. but then things changed; the larger MLs actively forbade bashing, and talked about it, and the unreasonable haters drew back into a corner of the fandom. Since then I've been able to recognize this group fairly easily, and know to avoid them.

Really, the martyr complex eludes me...it's just so much interesting to, you know, defend your opinions and stances and elaborate on them. But I guess it's also more difficult than "you're mean to me!"
