ADHD here, and my own personal experience is more of a longevity thing? I'm obsessed with WWI. I have a giant shelf of books and memoirs. I've listened to hours upon hours of podcasts and interviews. I have a goddamned TATTOO. I've had a thing for that stupid war since high school.

And then there's the other kind... when I find something new I like. Book series, video game, movie, anime, keeping chickens... I will eat, sleep, and breath that damn thing for about three days. It's... well, it's a hyperfixation. A hyperfocus. It's insane how much I just latch onto it for those three days. I will find out EVERYTHING I CAN, wax poetic, pretty much be both someone deeply in love and a deranged stalker for that thing. And then on that fourth day it's... done, and now it's just a thing I like.
