This is actually a dialect term where I live in the UK. "I borrowed Lynda me book last week and she dint give it back". A lot of words are switched in this way; of the top of my head "for" instead of "to"; "I'm goin fer have a walk".

I find it quite charming but then I have a fondness for local dialects; I can see why it might annoy some people.
