I miss the days when people like you were easy to avoid in fandom. You're a shitty person OP. You keep saying if people get upset about fandom then that's their problem - and maybe that’s a valid point for adults in fandom. But there's a huge component of teenagers in fandom too who physiologically haven’t yet developed the capacity to critically think about this stuff. They are impressionable and vulnerable because of it and liable to take fandom way too seriously and do things like doxx each other or give each other cookies with pins in them. People like you stoking the flames are culpable of encouraging this kind of behaviour, whether you want to admit it or not.

Hence why their PARENTS should monitor their Internet use. Not one of us is responsible for snot-nosed little turds skulking around in spaces where they don't belong. They wind up in bars and clubs, too, and should adults be expected to change their behavior in those environments? Of course not! They're not child friendly environments and neither is the Internet.

And bending to their will to avoid doxxing? Are you insane? Teenagers don't deserve that kind of power to influence how people act on the Internet. They should shut up and go to school like the rest of us had to.

Babysitting is a paid service for a reason. If I ain't getting money, there's no fucking way I'm changing my language and behavior for the poooooor childrens. Fuck off with that.

Newsflash: Teenagers, while still impressionable, are capable of moral, non-psychopathic behaviour. They're not toddlers with no real moral compass. Stop coddling teens and stop trying to thrust the responsibilty for their shitty behaviour on randos on the internet. There are plenty of nice, chill people in fandom. Nobody forces those teens to not follow their example and follow the example of shitty people instead.
