Perhaps you think the girl's "eyes" look funny because you don't know she's a cyclops.

Oh wow, a Devil's Candy secret! I've been meaning to get into this comic again. While reading the female characters did come across as a bit flat.

Aaah a Devil's Candy secret! I don't think you should feel THAT bad, there are only a handful of female characters tbh. And the other girls (I guess with the exception of Ricket) do all seem to have the same idea of being outgoing/attractive/feisty/violent... If you're not into that, it'd make sense you'd like Hitomi more.
