I like the idea of a lot of the canon Marvel romances, but so many of them have been so rushed. Like, Vision/Wanda could have worked well. Except it was so rushed that it just didn't work. Same goes doubly for Quill/Gamora. They felt the need to have them already together in Infinity War just so her death would hurt Quill more. Except it ruined all the slow buildup they'd started. It is frustrating. Slow buildup is the best way to go about romance in my opinion.

Seconding this so hard. I wish Hollywood agreed with us. :(

One of my first (and longest) ships was Mulder/Scully - the ship that took seven years and like 150 episodes to become canon (and then the writers sucked at writing it when it was finally canon, but that's neither here nor there). They kind of set the bar for me, lol.
