(Anonymous) 2019-08-31 12:04 am (UTC)(link)I don't have a problem with fictional rape or guro when its victims are adults like, say, PWP about Bucky being raped and mutilated by Hydra, because when you strip it down, it's still basically a writer fantasizing about an adult they're attracted to in sexual (albeit, messed up) situations. But when you replace Bucky with a child, or even just an aged down 11 year old Bucky, that whole concept becomes really questionable. And I ask myself, "why is the writer fantasizing about an 11 year old in sexual situations? Why are they sexually attracted to a child character? Why did they age the character down or not age the character up?". idk I basically draw the line at anything involving kids, there's really no reason to be writing PWP about kids or toddlers fucking each other or adults.

(Anonymous) 2019-08-31 05:32 am (UTC)(link)And guro, unless you don't know what that word means, always is connected to a sexual component.
So: Do you or don't you judge people watching movies/read fic where children die as harshly? Because if not, based on your own logic, I would have to be pretty contemptuous of your morals and the hypocrisy you show.

(Anonymous) 2019-08-31 05:47 am (UTC)(link)Thing is, most people know death, murder, and killing are bad. And they're usually filmed in a way that's not glorifying or sexually titillating. In fact, it's usually portrayed as a bad thing the audience is meant to be disgusted or upset by. Whereas sexualized violence, when filmed, can run the risk of being filmed in a way that's meant to be erotic for viewers. That was the issue with GOT, the sexualized violence was filmed in a way that was explicit and borderline male gaze-y for viewers to find arousing, they even hired pornstars to be in those roles. And it obviously worked, judging by all the excited comments I'd see about how so-and-so woman was when the show was airing.
So yeah, generally speaking, no. I don't. Because oftentimes murder and killing aren't portrayed in a way that's meant to be "aw man, this is awesome, I'm getting hard just reading or watching this!" unless they're exploitative splatter flicks or fiction. And as someone who's seen a lot of B tier horror films, most creators don't include graphic child murder in those things either, funnily enough. The only one I can think of is "Hobo with a Chainsaw" and "IT", both of which were portrayed as horrific things that the audience should not be enjoying. Wonder why. Couldn't be because harming children, even in fiction, is seen as crossing a line, could it?
That's not even mentioning that there's a clear difference between porn fic written expressly for the purpose of arousing the readers and writer and just fiction that involves murder, but I digress.

(Anonymous) 2019-08-31 06:09 am (UTC)(link)The point is: you only want to condemn things you personally find offensive, yet not others that you find less offensive
What. Like... look at this sentence. Just look at it.
try to portray your opinion and the only morally just and right one
It seems like your criticism of AYRT is that they think that their opinion is right
But of course they think their opinion is right. If they didn't think their opinion is right, why would it be their opinion?

(Anonymous) 2019-08-31 06:56 am (UTC)(link)Most of the world agrees abusing children is wrong, anon. This is not a radical, oppressive opinion that only I have. Even in fiction, like I pointed out, it's a line a lot of film makers will not cross, despite being fiction. Can't imagine why that is.
Since you're trying to rationalize porn featuring children, please explain why you feel it would be necessary for someone to request or write about it when, y'know, there's a plethora of adult characters. Not in a context where a main character had a dark past and it's brought up as a reason for why they are the way they are, I'm talking just straight up NSFW fapfic about an extremely underage character getting raped. Why do you think someone would write this? Do you think there's an excusable reason for it? Would you not be creeped out by someone who wrote it? Please explain.

(Anonymous) 2019-08-31 10:37 am (UTC)(link)But yes, there are reasons for someone to write it and while I find it distasteful and wouldn't read it (or seek it out intentionally, as you seem to do) but I think someone writing that stuff is not necessarily a real life pedophile, just like the writers of torture porn movies are not going to turn into evil maniac torturer serial killers irl. I know you have a hard time telling fiction from reality. But not everyone has that problem.
