How would your opinion change if that were not the case? Out of interest

I'd still say fiction is fiction. And better that someone is reading fictional stories rather than looking at actual child porn or actually assaulting real children. But I do believe that the majority of fanfic, particularly in a fandom like supernatural, is more likely to come from survivors rather than perpetrators.

NAYRT, but I assume a big chunk of perpetrators were CSA survivors. It was true of my maternal grandfather who raped all his kids and finally went to jail at 70 for going after the paper boy.
