Supernatural.

There are some other fandoms that are up there as far as shitty individuals in them go(looking at you nu!Trek), but that fandom was where I was actually harassed until I abandoned my first Lj blog, and tbh it's the reason I only really lurk these days while sometimes posting a fic. It put me off ever being part of a fandom group again, it's not worth it.

Supernatural is bad. Star Wars from what I've seen has the same bad that I found in the Supernatural fandom. They actively harass and bully people, including the creators and actors and people. That's why those two fandoms are the two worst for me.

I'm not in SW fandom at all but even I've heard of the harassment that the poor girl who played Rose got, which is just insane. Also how the fanbase treated the child actor for Anakin which was also absurd to find out about.

How anyone thinks it's okay to treat a real person like that I'll never know.

Wow, that really sucks. I'm so sorry. I've had nothing but good experiences in the Supernatural fandom. Met some really awesome people. I'm sorry that happened.

It was a lesson in learning how to spot the crazies when they seem normal at least if nothing else, and tbh I don't mind being more of a lurker these days, it's pretty chill relaxing in my own corner, writing what I feel like whenever I'm in the mood to do so and just generally keeping out of it.

I have thoughts sometimes on the media I'm watching but my dad and boyfriend are the recipients of my fannish theorizing and I'm good with that. :)
