If Steve's thought process about the reveal was "That's okay because it's hot, like the lesbian porn I watch," the show would have shown or implied it. If it didn't, it's safe to say that wasn't the reason he accepted it. Characters, unlike real people, can't have thoughts that are so secret they're never hinted at in the entire canon from beginning to end. The most you can do is explore the possibility in a fanfic.
