The OP said that a pregnant man is disgusting, not OOC. So if they meant Mpreg is always OOC...well, they're incorrect because there are fandoms in which Mpreg is canon (Torchwood, I'm looking right at you and YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL, BABY!).

In any case, my point was that Mpreg is not just a fannish trope but a real life possibility. While people may not enjoy reading about it, that doesn't make it okay to call it "disgusting". We as a fandom collective are vigilant about policing our community for homophobia and yet there seems to be an indifference towards negative attitudes about the transgendered and I'm not sure why. In any case, mpreg isn't any more disgusting than fpreg and as someone who's been pregnant, I'd like to point that pregnancy isn't incredibly sexy period, regardless of gender.

I know women are usually more sensitive and compassionate by nature

Too big 2 - I'm a Zutarian so by all measures I should hate Aang. I don't. I hate that he got somethings too easily, but I was fine up until season 3, particularly the end of it. His intent not to kill Ozai is something to be admired. So while I might never want to emulate him myself, it's not like he doesn't have admirable characteristics. Hopefully that made some sense... even if you're in a Zutarian community maybe just say what you admire about him? Hope it helps!

122. I've been in fandom for over 10 years and have only ever seen one incident of a flouncy, basically psychotic BNF lashing out at people. But every other fandom I've participated in, people have been nothing but respectful and supportive of one another, regardless of who writes the most popular pairings or whatever. That's part of why I love fandom so much; the vast majority of people really are nice and just want to have fun.

163. Get into slash and out of yaoi, that's all I can say. It's certainly far from perfect, but although some slash fans obsess over top/bottom, it's NOTHING like the seme/uke bullshit in yaoi fandom. Better yet, a lot of slash fans like yaoi too, they just aren't in yaoi fandom. Best of both worlds. :D
