We watched this at a sleepover when I was about thirteen and the premise creeped me out so much I had my head under the blanket the entire time. I'm sure it's not all that scary over a decade later and I could probably watch it, but I can't bring myself to. This secret brought back a lot of memories :')

I think this is the first horror movie I ever watched. Either this or Urban Legend. Saw it in the middle of the night when I snuck down to find something scary on tv when I was in middle school.

Dude, calm down. Nowhere did AYRT use the words "friendly reminder." Nowhere did they tell people how to feel about the movie or what to think about the movie.

If a director is a convicted pedophile that's something I definitely want to know about, so that I can avoid obliviously blabbering on about said director and saying things I wouldn't say if I knew what he'd done. And this particular director's crimes are not all that well known among the general public, so it's totally fair to bring them up when he comes up in conversation.

I'm not upset? I just think it's funny that people feel the need to provide a PSA for a given piece of media. If it's useful information to you, then great. I don't entirely disagree that it can be potentially useful, but man, if I was at Burger King eating a double whopper I sure wouldn't want someone coming up to me and explaining how many calories it had, that there are studies shown that link fast food consumption to heart disease, etc. etc. etc. even if it's true. Maybe you would be grateful for that intervention.

Wish more people knew this about this movie i watched it once when i was younger and hated it i found out much later about the creep who directed it then they gave him money for a third and and now he is getting funko pops and merch deal and shit hell no i will not give my money to a convicted pedo. I dont understand how anyone would want to watch this let alone the two others that were made by the same garbage human

Luckily, there's absolutely no reason to pay to watch any movie in this franchise, since they all play free everywhere all the time.

Granted, I'm never quite sure how screwing over the rest of the cast and crew of already released media is some big moral victory over the one known criminal in the production, particularly when said criminal has already been tried and sentenced for their crimes, but you know. Take your armchair activism victories where you can get them.

I'm ace, and have never had sex, and it still terrified me more than almost any other horror movie I've watched.

Sure, if the monster were real I'd be safe from it. But that doesn't make the idea any less terrifying. Plus, if a monster like that were real, whose to say sex would be the thing that transmitted it. Some other thing could transmit it instead.
