Private property. If they have a visible sign, they can make restrictions on their own private property.

Oh okay, I mistook it for the home owner law you mentioned. How is it different from lawful possession, if you don't mind me asking? (is it wrong I almost love having an actual lawyer to ask all these questions too?;;)

Someone can't be restricted from lawful gun ownership in their own home. If they have a gun, their landlord or their homeowners association or whatever now can't restrict gun access. But that same person could restrict other people from bringing guns onto their property. The difference being it is their home.

Basically, while gun rights are loved in Texas, so are property rights.
