My Dad's side, Italian, all pronounce our family name differently. The oldest generation, collectively, decided that our last name was said however their bosses wanted to say it and it's kinda stuck that way through the generations. Even I say it differently than my immediate family members, but that's more because I got sick of people not spelling it correctly.
