162. I can't seem to find any Japanese man attractive, because they're all so girly. I like some meat on my man, and I like some few wrinkles too. They all seem so... Plastic? I don't know, but I feel like a damn hypocrite, for I think the reverse (androgynous girls) are so damn charming.

Are you familiar with Toshiro Mifune at all? Different generation, but he definitely looks like a guy by my standards, I think he's rather hot in a Japanese Humphrey Bogart-ish way when he isn't doing the Samurai Eyebrows of Death.

Hm! I'll agree with that. He is rather charming - I guess I'm more of a "man" type, you know what I mean? That, and voices. I love a deep, even hoarse voice, but that's a whole different subject.

WOW, that first picture especially is hot. Kind of a Japanese...James Dean. *stares* I mean, it would be better if he wasn't smoking, but I can actually forgive that for once.

There aren't many butch Japanese pop stars, but I'm quite certain there are a great deal of ordinary bearded, muscle-bound Japanese men. Almost all pop stars around the world are at least a little androgynous.

I'm not exactly talking about muscle, I'm just talking about... charming men, you know? I'm not really fond of the boy type (there sure are exception, though!).

Also, total win for that Tank Girl icon! ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥!

I think it's not just a matter of taste, but also what you're culturally used to. Myself, I think that the male ideal in the U.S. programmes we get horribly exaggerates the male traits, to the point of making them look silly. Also, they all looks like they've been carved from wax, but that's the camera filters, I think.
