Depends. If it is done well, fine. But I've seen ships I like become ruined and then I no longer ship them (House/Cuddy and Bones/Booth for example). On the other hand, I think Castle did a decent job for the most part of making Castle/Beckett canon.

Castle/Beckett was great right up until they got engaged. Everything fell apart after that for me but I was mightily impressed that the writers were able to maintain the chemistry and relationship for so long after they hooked up.
