Different strokes and all that.

Personally I enjoy my ships being canon and am mostly perfectly happy with what the canon does with them, barring one or two instances where I went 'the fuck' but then I don't feel that them not being canon would have lessened my irritation at those story-lines.

But I can also only really ignore canon to an extent, and if it's not going in a way that I like then no amount of denial is going to fix that for me.
