I mean, it's weird for sure. But I feel like the whole thing is just so far removed from who he is as a person that maybe he can just shrug and ignore it? I haven't read the fic, but I feel like the author basically just stuck Styles' name on a fantasy character that was nothing like him. So once you rename the character, he kind of has nothing in common with the character at all.
