It's always interesting to me to read things like this, because I didn't find there to be any ambiguity at all. I personally thought the show was over the top obvious about them having romantic feelings for each other (regardless of whether there's a sexual aspect as well), like it wasn't even a question. The creators/writers failing to specifically come out and say "yes, they are gay!" is kind of irrelevant and doesn't negate that.

(Not getting into the whole asexual thing, because even if we DO use human labels, things aren't black and white and can be complicated to categorize, but that's really beside the point because...they're not human.)
