My co-workers want me to go eat lunch at the fair with them. I don't want but I always tell them no about going to lunch. They always take a really long lunch and I'd rather take short lunches and leave early. Also, fair food is overpriced and makes my stomach feel bad. I hate how often they pressure me to go out and eat with them. Just let me eat my pretzels and fruit by myself!

I totally get you, anon. And it also annoys me how mandatory it feels, like everyone else in the world loves this and I just have to go along with it to be social.

My co-worker has really stinky farts and our job involves sometimes making long drives in car together. :(

I'm involved in organising an event and I'm increasingly sure it's going to be a failure and it makes me sort of sad but mostly it makes me angry that so many people have put actual time and effort into undermining us. It's a goddamn geek con! What is your goddamn problem??? And almost all of these people are people who've previously run cons, and who I've *personally* heard complain about other people being mean and making their lives harder, and somehow they don't realise how intensely hypocritical they are!

What kind of fair?

I knew it was going to be bad. It's been dropping faster than Howie on his knees for Simon, ever since he started judging, before that even. They don't bother with half the results, 'wildcards' are cropping up everywhere, and fucking /every/ golden buzzer is a goddamn child singer. They have two categories now, singing, and other. (aka magicians) Simon buzzed virtually every act that isn't a singing, and literally cut so many singers off mid audition because he didn't like the song they chose. Not only that, but he then gives them a song he likes and lets them try again. He did this up to the live rounds, and only for singers. As soon as he presses the buzzer, Howie presses his a split second later, Gonzo was the first time he didn't immediately follow Simon's lead. Then Simon will press Julianne's buzzer even when she's actively trying to get him to stop. He'll then try to press Gabrielle's... It's so stupid.
Simon can't stomach danger acts (and they're too much of risk apparently) But then they'll only put through some back water hicks who play with chainsaws in their backyards just to buzz them five seconds in. No more strength acts, acrobatics, and hell if they've ever liked anything with dance. If they do let those acts through it can only be one, because how could they put through 20 horrible, bratty, sobbing, child wailers if all the spots are taken up by people with, I don't know, talent? FFS. It almost makes me feel bad for america. That it's own talent show ridicules a pianists, showing the audience yawning, only to reveal, surprise! he's actually a stripper, and he was only pretending to play fucking perfectly because it was a track... (then they don't let him through anyways because y'know, it's dance)

Is this a misfire?
