There is a big fight happening, and Sam goes down, and his dying wish to a djinn is to start over. So Dean is born to John and Mary, but no Sam. He has night terrors and is always asking about 'Sam', and wondering where he is, but he's not sure *who* Sam is.

Sam has been born to some other family and deliberately gets himself 'lost' in the foster care system so Dean won't find him, but of course, Dean eventually does. It's not a super-long fic, but it's just....really good, to me, heh.

The other is Sam and Dean with three (or four) brothers, and they kinda-sorta remember being hunters, but not completely. It's a Wincest fic.
