124. I do believe I am awestruck by what is the most random connection I have seen so far in this post. That is some serious crack there, almost worse than me linking Nasty Girl by Destiny's Child with curbstomping people.
154. Well, I suppose I can see people disliking her for her reactions in the aftermath of her father's death... I myself pretty much went 'whut' after that, even if she questioned them too I think it felt forced. Of course I have just recently gotten around to watch R2 so if she does something worse I will rest my peace, but seriously? I like her, even if she is powerless and cannot do anything to really resist or affect the ongoing chaos. Perhaps people don't like seeing a regular person NOT handle a crisis with perfect calm and asskicking attitude or by taking charge in any way, but those people exist and as far as those kind of characters go, Shirley is not a bad one.

168. That would be because there IS no explanation for them. They just somehow tap directly into our reptile brains and trigger something in us that makes us repeat them ad nauseam until whatever parasitic quality it is they inhabit is sufficiently weakened.
