Yes, we fangirls are "bloody nuts" -- but you cannot honestly watch House, M.D. and tell me that House and Wilson aren't canon. Hello, Amber arc much? Hello, season five? Even the actors know it (http://www.alekwasframed.com/green_tea/TVGUIDEJANES4.jpg).

As a person who doesn't ship a damn thing on that show (yes, people like me exist). There is certainly subtext between the two. The fact that House pointed out to Wilson that dating Amber is dating a female version of him is a definite case of subtext. I was pretty surprised that they put pretty blatant like that.

Yeah, I agree. They're not sleeping together canonically but subtext? It has. Subtext does not have to mean "they're really having sex but we're just hinting at it."

They're not canon, because there are no explicitly stated romantic feelings. There's lots of subtext and canonical strong feelings of friendship/platonic love, so the ship certainly isn't coming out of nowhere. Still not canon.
