I don't even watch the show, but for some reason I've kept up with the misogyny wank. It reminds me of HP fans being mad at Rowling for making Draco such an asshole. To me it seems like the fans get angry at canon!Dean for contradicting fanon!Dean.

exactly, even being part of the fandom, we want Dean to be this amazing, heroic, loveable guy for our sakes, but Dean Winchester is one fucked up guy, and to make him anything else is just crap. if he came out of Hell and started being nice to demons, i'd be shocked.
