If you're ignoring the The Headband and The Day of Black Sun 1&2 and the way they couldn't stop touching eachother later in the season I guess you could say it wasn't developed at all! Just because Bryke didn't spell it out at the end for you (granted I would have liked to see it also) that when the war was over Katara could now look at Aang as a love interst rather than the avatar That Could Die At Any Minute doesn't mean it wasn't there. There wasn't much to develop at that point. Katara loved him for awhile before EIP (see needing to touch him constantly + her CONSTANT FANGIRLING) but didn't want to get caught up in a relationship while fighting a war.

When said Zutarians are tagging these pieces of art as Maiko and Kataang you're going to have Kataangers being bitches on your deviant art page (Though there's of course the Zutarians comments of "I think Katara is more like Aangs mother and hate this ship horribly. Oh let me count the ways this ship pisses me off...but I think the way you draw is pretty draw zutara next! :D). You know what would have shut them up? A simple "so what?" because really. SO WHAT? I ship Zukkang. Do I care that it's not canon? No. The "smug kataanger" would not be there without the ZOMGCanonpskataangsucks!Zutarian).

Kataangers="don't know when to STFU" yes! "Don't understand the world doesn't end if you don't write fic of canon characters" yes! but "smug" reeks way to much of bitter shippers who can't let go of the fact that their pairing was never going to happen. ever. and most people knew it. Sorry if you're really not a Zutarian but your wording and the fact that you would rather hang out with people who are butthurt and complaining about the Best Finale EVER than people who are mostly still squeeing over it is not convincing me :|
