how small are we talking? my hometown's pretty small and I manage to make it work - I just have to get a lot of friend codes from overseas, that's all

Legenday raids are a challenge.

(Anonymous) 2019-09-14 08:50 pm (UTC)(link)
You aren't sad about that already?

(Anonymous) 2019-09-14 08:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Some people like living in small towns.

(Anonymous) 2019-09-15 05:05 am (UTC)(link)
Some people don't like traffic and big crowds. Shocking I know.

(Anonymous) 2019-09-15 05:25 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't like traffic or big crowds either, but the conveniences of the city override that for me.

(Anonymous) 2019-09-16 02:09 am (UTC)(link)
Same. I can't imagine living in a small town, I would die of boredom. I also can't imagine living somewhere where I can't just walk/take the bus to everything I need to get to. I'll take the traffic and crowds if it means I don't have to spend thousands of dollars a year on a car and related expenses.

Same.

I hated living in a small town because it was boring and there were a lot of bigoted people and it was really difficult to make friends because most of the people weren't at all friendly unless you were born there. I live in a big city now and I love it!

(Anonymous) 2019-09-15 02:53 am (UTC)(link)
That’s a really helpful comment.

I'm guessing you're being sarcastic. sorry.

I live in a town of 800 people and enjoy Pokemon Go! I've never managed a five-star raid but eh, the legendaries eventually seem to show up as research rewards.

I feel this. My town's big enough to have plenty of pokestops and gyms, but here's a deoxys raid in the gym right next to my house as will type this, and I'm not going outside for it because there's never anyone else around at the raids, so why bother.

Is it Attack Forme? That thing can be solo'd.

(Anonymous) 2019-09-15 08:58 am (UTC)(link)
Hell, I live in a reasonably big city but when I visit New York or Tokyo, it's always like, "Damn, y'all get to live like this." It can bring a person down. But try to enjoy what you can, nonnie. The game has a lot more content now for the rural/solo players, like research and quest and Team Rocket, compared to when it first launched.

Do you need gifts? I'm always happy to send them even if you never send any back. The regionals are hatching from gift eggs right now and it's a good to idea to stock up even if you can't hatch them all just yet.

Yeah. I'm living in a small town now and it sucks. I mostly only play when I travel, now. Lived in a big city a couple years ago for a year and it was a whole different game.

My town isn't small, but it's not that big either. Finding someone for raids is nearly impossible, unless I con my youth group into it. But I know it could be worse - there's a church that I pass on my way to my aunt's house (it's about an hour from nowhere) and there is a pokestop and a gym there, but there is no cell service so the only way to get it is to access the church wifi. I'm sure there are more places like that, which has to be frustrating. My brother used to come to town specifically to play, but he quit.
