I think he's more conventionally attractive as Doctor Strange than he's ever been before. The facial hair in particular really sculpts his face and gives it balance (and I say that as someone who, in general, doesn't like facial hair).

And I mean, Marvel has a hell of a knack for creating charismatic male characters who you just like. It can be formulaic, sure, but it's a pretty effective formula.
