Creep by Radiohead?
(Anonymous) 2019-09-15 04:57 am (UTC)(link)Father Figure by George Michael
Let's Get It On by Marvin Gaye (there's no real allusion to age or anything, but he did write the song while dating a 17-year-old)
Re: Creep by Radiohead?
(Anonymous) 2019-09-15 08:26 am (UTC)(link)These are all really good recs, and I am totally going to rec them to fellow Starkers who ask me for recs, because I think they will be big hits with people. That Stones track in particular is really fabulous, and I kind of can't believe I haven't seen it recced around the fandom before, because it feels so dead-on for how most of the fandom ships this pairing.
I think for me though, with the exception of Creep, these are too cool and casual. In my version of this pairing, Tony is a wreck over the turn things take with Peter. It's basically a protracted identity crisis for him that he even feels that way at all.
Put that way, I really shouldn't be surprised I can't find any songs that work for me. People who feel that much guilt and shame over something don't tend to publicize it in a song, lol.
Thank you for the recs though. Like I said, I'm going to hang onto them because I know shippers who will want these on their fanmix for sure.
