I HATE musicals in any and all forms.

...except Moulin Rouge. Turns out I really liked Moulin Rouge.

I had no idea it was a musical going in and it didn't sink in until maybe the fourth musical number and I went "Woah! This is unexpectedly awesome." I guess I just expected a period drama. So glad my mom talked me into coming to see it with her. It had been out for a while by that point so the audience in the theater was small, but a bunch had clearly seen it before and were really into it, shouting "Truth! Beauty! Freedom! Love!" along with the title cards at the end.
