I started crying earlier because I miss my mom, she died a couple years ago, but today was her birthday. And then I pictured her going around saying “hehe, I’m 69 hehe” all day because she totally would’ve, so thanks, mom, your sense of humor (which also included plastic toads in sauerkraut jars, teaching third grade me dirty limericks when I was doing a poetry unit in school, rollerskating down the street in a ballgown, and sneaking a nsfw dirty old man doll into visiting family’s luggage for years) helped me stop crying.
