while her being ooc is part of the writer's fault, in this case I really do feel like it's that actress' fault. and I also really feel she's ruining the show and needs to gtfo already.
again, if you just started watching, you can't really offer your opinions on the character.

(Anonymous) 2008-10-16 03:55 am (UTC)(link)I'm...not actually sure which point of mine you're directing this to. The "grr argh" part? I have no problems with demons being snarky. I loved Meg's attitude. The YED was brilliant, although his snark was more of the laidback kind than putting up an attitude. I'm not talking about their written characterization, I'm talking about the actress. Katie just didn't quite hit the her snarky lines naturally enough and it sounded forced at times (she got better later on, though).
Yeah, the actress could use some work; her line delivery is flat and I'm not a big fan. But I personally don't think she's ruining the show. Lazarus Rising was the only time where she had multiple scenes; after that, she just showed up once for a couple of minutes and then left.
As for me just watching? Um, no. Sorry. Been watching before the original Katie!Ruby was ever even introduced.
