Trying to figure out how I'll make my online classes work because there's a scheduling conflict with two of them. It's really frustrating me, but hey, at least I got tickets for the Hella Mega tour.

Second night in a row of about two hours of sleep. Spent two hours in court this morning to find out the hearing wasn't on the judge's calendar. Then came home did a bit of work, ate a quick lunch. Headed over to the state courthouse to get my photo taken for the bar association. Got lost. Had to pay $20 for parking. It was really hot. Then drove over to the office to pick up a paycheck and to talk with the other attorney I'm doing work for. Had a panic attack in the car driving to the bank to deposit the check. Drove home. Watched tv with my mom. Ate hummus and celery for dinner. Now I'm in bed. Taking my meds. It is 6:45. I think I'm going to bed as soon as my meds are done.

Woke up too sick to go to work. Headache, sore throat, fever, all the fun stuff. Now awake to eat. No clue how long I will be awake.

I have tomorrow off so today is more like Friday than Monday for me. So no complaints. Anyway mostly just work, which went OK. Tonight I plan to take a long bike ride. (Well, long for me.) I'll wait and see if I actually follow through.

Not too bad. Worked late, stopped for some dinner on the way home and now I'm just hanging around online regretting responding to some right wing assholes whining about how horrible it is that they're not allowed to be racist and homophobic without someone calling them on it.

Actually not that bad, I met my husband this morning for coffee, and we got our first rain of the season here in NorCal so the air is nice and clean now (even if traffic sucked unwashed ass because of it). Work wasn't too bad, my boss is back from her vacation and she taught me how to price Halloween costumes this afternoon (I work for Goodwill). I'm off tomorrow so I'm having a glass of rose and waiting for my husband to call me so I can start cooking dinner. Trying a new meal kit thingy, looking forward to it.

Foggy, clammy morning, hot and sunny midday, now it's a foggy, clammy evening. Had problems making The Technology work during work but sorted it out. Had a really nice wrap for lunch in a small town coffee shop.

You know what would make this online work training make sense to my befuddled brain? A fucking transcript. I may be ultra passive-aggressive and transcribe the rest of it and send it on up the chain to whatever department was responsible for making these terrible powerpoint videos. I’m literally parsing only about 10% of the info I need from this bullshit.

What's a super popular headcanon you've been happy to see disproven?

Ships people were sure would happen? Characters your fandom swore were anything but straight never panning out (pun intended)? Names everyone used that were never made canon (looking at you, John Stilinski)? It's time for Schadenfreude.

I shouldn't be happy about it, but I'm glad Brienne/Tormund was shot the fuck down. It was never meant to be a thing, and they don't even meet in the books (so far) and don't show signs of crossing paths for any reason. There was this huge setup for a completely different ship in the books, and I couldn't get why everyone was suddenly jumping behind THAT ship. (I mean, I get it partly. You deprive an audience enough, they'll go somewhere else. But there is. literally. nothing. setting. that. ship. up. much less keeping it together. It wasn't even originally supposed to be shippy, just a moment of platonic fascination from Tormund, but then everyone dialed it up.)

I shouldn't be happy about it, because D&D put the true ship, Jaime/Brienne, through the fast lane, and so damn quickly that no one could enjoy it, or is even sure anything happened. It's just one more reason to be dissatisfied with the ending.

I'm looking forward to all my returning shows. "Criminal Minds", "Will & Grace" and HTGAWM are all going into their final seasons this year, so I'm looking forward to seeing how they all wrap things up. And I'm excited about "The Good Doctor", too.

As for new shows, I may check out "Evil", I've heard a lot of good things about that show. And "Sunnyside" seems kinda cute.

Elementary was the last regular show I was watching, and that's over, so there's nothing returning that I plan to see (although I'm always up for new Call the Midwife or Victoria or other PBS stuff). I'm not really excited for any of the new shows, but plan to give Batwoman and Stumptown a go.

How to make fandom friends?
