Why does fandom hate Chichi? I admit, I've not been into DBZ since like 1998, but I've never noticed that before. What'd she do? just because she wants her kids to live and be educated instead of fight? I'm assuming it's not because she gets in the way of the slash, since that'd make fandom hate Bulma too. >_>

Chi-chi was hated because she married Goku probably. I remember that reason from someone a long time ago. From what I saw back then, Chi-chi was not well liked because of her personality. Lots of things really...

I'm not too familiar with the fandom as of now but when I part of it, the rage was "make original characters/mary-sues and pair them with the DBZ boys because the "DBgirls were the suxxors". Fandom hated Bulma too. >_>

To be honest, this part of the DBZ fandom was kind of crazy...
