101. Mary Sue is a perfectly normal name to the rest of the world. My name, on the other hand, is so outlandishly ridiculous that I registered for Facebook under the name of "Xyzzyka Gruefrotzer" because my actual name tripped off the "OLOL THIS IS NOT A REAL NAME, NICE TRY SILLY" filter.

Ah, yeah. I don't mind the name except that everyone and their dog (and yes, I've known dogs named Sarah) have it as well.

At least your dogs are of a fairly decent sort. Dogs with my name are small and rhinestone-collared and live in expensive handbags.

...also, there was that one time I met someone who had a pet goat with the same name as mine and of course just had to tell me about it. XD

Actually, my grandparents have a dalmatian with your name, and she's a sweetheart. :) But...yeah. I can't imagine what you had to go through in school. x_x

Actually no one ever made fun of my name. I guess it was just so absurd it simply stunned people into submission. That, or there were other aspects of me much more deserving of ridicule. It was well into middle school before some particularly bright bully realized my name could be shortened to a masculine version of itself. Most people though, would toss a tactful "Oh, that's such a pretty name!" my way. My response of "Thanks, wanna trade?" was never taken up on.

W-wait a second, I missed the memo that said I'm not allowed to like the movie as well! D:

...of course, the book and the movie steadfastly occupy two vastly different canons in my brain, but still.
