There's a zone of plausibility to consider.

I agree, but it's a question of degrees, not a absolute binary canon or not-canon.

And it wouldn't be so much of a problem if ship advocates didn't do the Olympics triple jump from "they're buddies" to "they're undeniably banging" to "if you don't ship it, you're a bad LGBTQ ally."

Sure. My whole thing is that multiple interpretations can be true at the same time so I'm not going to really try to justify a different way of insisting that only one interpretation is true.

But people have always taken stuff too far arguing for their ships.
