I've said it before (and someone even turned it into a secret once) but...people play the actual Sims characters and don't just make up their own??

all Sims needs to do is unlock all fashions, hairstyles, items, etc for use by both male and female characters at all times. period. that's literally all they have to do. let me put my girls in jeans that don't hug their asses and baggy t-shirts, let me put my guys in sundresses. let me give a girl a butch 'do and a guy long luxurious ponytails without having to download sketchy mods that break the game. everybody wins and nobody gets hurt.

Wait, can't you do that already? My Sims-playing days are long past, but I did get Sims 4 when it was offered for free, and distinctly remember being able to click away the masculine/feminine filter and deck guys in bikinis.

CAN YOU? I never got 4 I'm still in 3 land forever but that would be a tremendous point in favor of upgrading eventually.

In Sims 4 most if not all base game fashions are wearable by both genders, they're just marked as feminine or masculine, and on default Male sims have a masculine filter on when browsing in create a sim, and female aims have a feminine I e filter, but it can be removed easily to show nearly everything. You can even make a sim with no breasts wear a bra if you want.

I think it’s a radio button setting, so you can’t view both masculine and feminine at the same time, but you you can switch between the two at any time. You can also set a number of things for a sim, so a female Sim can have a masculine body, a masculine clothing preference, stand while peeing, and be able to give birth, impregnate another Sim, or neither.

Correction: you can view masculine and feminine clothing at the same time.
