Agreed. I love the show, but it's had some humdingers in terms of bad ideas, bad execution, etc.

But yes... Paget Brewster, hot damn!

For a crime drama, it's pretty good - that's making allowances for all the clichés and tropes. I think their best work was in the earlier seasons with the original cast, and when they added Mantegna as Rossi. The characterization was astonishingly tight for an ensemble crime drama and my favorite moments are the ones that show the connections and friendships between the team members. That's not the case in later seasons, IMO.

Da - really? The characterization always felt quite forced to me, but again, that is about so YMMV as it gets.
