The money was originally for something else, and I'm all for letting the adults fail on their own but the kids don't deserve to be dragged into it. Then came "oh I want to pay you back but the kids really want to visit you for christmas" which I said yes to because the kids did want to visit me. I'm guessing they haven't been told yet either.

Yeah that money is gone. Lol. Nobody even appreciated how frugal I had to be to save that much on my tiny income. :\
