I think you should try it
(Anonymous) 2019-09-26 11:51 pm (UTC)(link)1- You don't hear your voice how people hear it. Maybe it's a lot less annoying that you think.
2- The way people react to voices are very varied there could be a lot of people that find your voice very nice.
3- If you have a "funny" voice it could grasp the attention of your view. 4- It can help humanize you.
5- It makes you memorable.
Honestly, I find hosts that don't articulate, speak way too softly, are way too loudly, too often don't finish their sentences, talk over each other, a lot more unbearable that those that don't have a "good" voice.

(Anonymous) 2019-09-27 06:44 pm (UTC)(link)There are TONS of radio personalities & public speakers that have weird voices--it makes them distinctive. Ira Glass. David Sedaris. Starlee Kine. All kinds of weird, nasally voices that people will literally pay hundreds of dollars to listen to.
