Ten and Donna are still my favorite Doctor-Companion duo. I loved their platonic relationship.

Recently, I've found myself delving into Doctor/Donna smut fics.

I still don't ship them. I still cherish their friendship as it was in canon and don't want that retroactively changed. I just want to read about them banging all of a sudden.

I don't understand what's up with this, but I'm not really complaining.

I also love their platonic relationship, and I also definitely get - in general - the desire of FWB fics and honestly there should be a lot more fics in that category.

For me, personally, though, I just can't see the two of them sexually. I think I could see Donna getting it on with a lot of other doctors actually. Actually with most doctors, come to think of it - off the top of my head I could see 4, I could see 5, I could see 8, I could see 9. But Donna/10 is just... they just don't fit together that way for me.

I do the same thing sometimes, it's a weird hobby but so far I can't complain about it

I shipped them really hard for a long time. But then every second fic was bashing other characters, so I stopped reading it. And then I fell out of love with the ship. Now I can't really ship the Doctor with any normal human. I only ship him/her with River, Missy/Master, Idris/Tardis, or Jack.

Honestly, OP, read what you want. Who cares. If you find it hot, read it. Enjoy.

There does seem to be a lot of 10/Donna fic that bashes Rose, which is just unnecessary. I'm here for the smut, not digressions to hate on other companions!

They're attractive, actors are close in age, and their friendship was fun, supportive, and [platonically] loving, so I can see why they're a nice pair to read (happy?) smut about, even if you don't ship them on the show.

They're my favourite Dr. Who pair as well. I'm not too sure about them being more intimate than that though.
