When rumors came out that either Tony or Steve would be dying I was 100% sure that Steve would die heroically and save the day while Tony would retire to be with his family (since both actors' contracts were ending so they had to get both characters out of the way). I still wish it had happened like that.

The whole travelling back to the past and going back to Peggy seemed like a ridiculous decision, specially since I really doubt any version of Steve Rogers would be able to just live quietly/secretly and stay out of things.

Yup, that's what I thought too. I didnt hate endgame, but holy shit do I wish it'd gone this way instead.
