Agreed. Especially since it is supposed to be an old castle.
I sometimes prefer the piano version as well, but for some reason, listening to piano-only music tends to depress me...

I like the piano version as well, and I'm usually not that into fixed pitch instruments. But it's only The Great Gate of Kiev where the equal temperament is really noticeable to me, everywhere else it just doesn't seem to matter that much. Which is really cool.
