Here. There's a VERY vocal contingent of Tony hate.

I have to admit there is an unreasonable amount of Tony bashing in this comm. I'm not in the MCU fandom at all, but I've noticed.

Same here. I'm barely getting my toes wet into the Marvel fandom pool, but I've noticed a lot of Tony Stark antis in this community.

*eyeroll* No, there isn't. There are people who aren't hardcore fans, and that ends up being exaggerated as hate.

There was literally a secret about how he was unreasonable and a horrible human being because he didn't want to sacrifice the numerous children, including his own, for something that wasn't guaranteed to work.

Pretty sure I recall that secret and it said the OP thought less of him, or something like that. You've exaggerated that, exactly like what I said about conflating dislike of his character as hate.

They thought less of him for sacrificing hundreds of thousands of people for a baby he was probably going to have anyways. A different secret mention that they found his choosing the snap over losing his child selfish. Both opinions are fair, and weren't worded in a hateful way.

Except that your description of his actions is really inaccurate and goes out of it's way to paint him in the worst possible light. If it were an accurate and comprehensive description of his role in endgame, it wouldnt be hate. It's hate because it's such a slanted.take, and it doesn't acknowledge that it's slanted.

That's not hate though, and pretending that it is doesn't make it true.
It's an opinion, maybe not a well made or accurate one, but it's certainly not bashing on his character like so many (or you) are trying to imply. Is your opinion on the OP who made that secret hateful because your construing their words in a negative light? I didn't think so.

Are you kidding me with this? That secret is reaching so incredibly hard I'm surprised the OP didnt dislocate something. That entire secret is someone who dislikes the character finding the most biased possible way of interpreting the text. O_o

That doesn't make it hate, and yours is a much farther reach than anything they did. I just saved you the trouble of looking, don't get mad because it didn't suit your unrealistic standards.

It's still a way of interpreting the text though, and imo would be a reach to say there's nothing at all wrong with what he said.

NA, but I agree. I didn’t interpret that scene quite the same way the OP of that secret did, but it’s still a horrible line. Sneering about “your precious freedoms”......😬 Ugh. No, Tony. I realize he’s not exactly rational in that moment, but still.

This is the only fandom space I've found that doesn't absolutely LOVE him so....sure.
