hungover. went grocery shopping. applied for jobs.

Just spent 30 minutes changing a personal dreamwidth account into a community. @.@

I just returned from investigating several explosions that rocked the city.

It's the middle of the night here (Europe). I heard seven loud bangs, then a lot of sirens. I couldn't see anything from my window and the air smelled of smoke and burnt stuff. My city and country are as safe as it gets but I still got reeeally nervous. Twitter pointed to a construction site ~500 m from my house, which calmed me down a bit, but it didn't know specifics. Since I couldn't sleep after that anyway, I went over there to see for myself. According to a bystander, two of those car-mounted cranes caught on fire, and the explosions were the tires blowing.

Now I'm surfing the net until I calm down enough to fall asleep.

Woah, that was a very exciting night for you. I hope you are able to get some sleep.

I can already feel it coming. *yawn*

Wow, that sounds kind of surreal. Hope you get back to sleep soon, and that nobody died in the explosion.

It was surreal, last night, in the dark, with no one on the street and no information. Now it's not. No one was hurt though there is high property damage, and the police are investigating what they think is arson. It's just another news story. Kinda strange how that works.

Got up early to clean because I was having workers come to my house, went to lunch with my mom, worked in the afternoon, went grocery shopping afterwards, and now I'm home. I just finished dinner, and I need to go get something out of my car and wash my face, then I'll probably read until I get tired. It's now been three days in a row where I've gotten very little sleep but for some reason I'm not tired yet.

Spent the day being sad, really. My grandfather passed away yesterday morning (I wasn't told until yesterday afternoon) and today I spent the day with my family, then came home and napped.

He was in so much pain and it was terrible watching him go through it but it's still sad he's gone. I'm tired.

I got my hair did! Well, I had it dyed and trimmed. Just covering gray, no new colors.

Doctor's appointment this morning, then had to go get a blood test. Then worked on a brief all afternoon. Had a meeting in the evening. Had salmon for dinner. Now I'm preparing for a hearing tomorrow.

Worked BG on Good Doctor. One of the regulars brought a fucking espresso machine to work with him and he was making us lattes all morning, so that was hilarious (and very nice of him).

Went to work after staying home sick yesterday; still feel awful, but I haven’t eaten enough to tether myself to the bathroom. Made a doctor appointment for Tuesday because Monday was the earliest option the automated system had available, but I don’t want to miss more work and I don’t work until late morning on Tuesday. Gonna try calling the after hours nurse helpline and see if I can get an appointment this Friday instead since it’ll be sooner and it’s my day off.

Went to work. Worked a lot. Returned home. Two weeks ago I got my wisdom teeth removed and I'm still in a bit of pain from the bottom left one (which is the one that was causing me some really serious migraines).

Now I'm really bored and a bit moody over stuff.
