Crossing over is fine, but when they play a bigger role than the character the movie is supposed to be about, then things become a problem.
This is not an Avengers movie, they can acknowledge that other characters exist, but when the same exact character shows up as a leading role in every single movie that is not about them, or the group as a whole, people are allowed to be annoyed. You don't see Thor starring in every Spiderman, Capitan America, and Black Widow movie, throwing hammers into the works. It's always Tony, all the time. There is such a thing as too much of a good thing.

This. Nobody complained about Falcon showing up in the Antman movie because it was /just/ a quick cameo with no bearing on the plot, whereas both of Spiderman's supposedly solo movies so far have had plots driven almost entirely by something Tony did.
