I don't dislike him, I just don't think his character was fleshed out enough for him to be in the role he is now. I still really only know him as that one friend of Steve's.

I don't know if I'm invested enough to want to know more either. It was some really lazy writing.

Agreed. Very few of the MCU characters are fleshed out besides Steve and Tony but that's no excuse. I'd like to see more of them besides a few snappy one liners or a stunt during a group fight.

What's wrong with actor?
I might be biased since the only movie I watched with him in it was the Winter Solider, but I found his character rather endearing. He never really needed to be a stand out character for me to like him, since he absolutely owned playing second fiddle. (I mean that in a good way) Just in the way that his role had always been support, both in the military, and by helping people cope with PTSD after returning home. His kindness stood out more to me than any grand gesture would.
nightscale: Starbolt (Marvel: Sam Wilson)

I think he's likeable enough on his own merits, he's got a good heart, has his snarky/amusing moments, and he's a bit of a reckless idiot like Steve so it makes sense he fits-in with that group.

I can understand not thinking he's been fleshed out the best as unless they're the Main hero the other characters don't get as much screen-time, but that's what the show can do for him: flesh him out some more. Which I'm happy to give a shot because I find his base-line personality perfectly agreeable.

No thoughts on the actor though as I really don't keep up with that kind of stuff, outside of maybe seeing some press-tour stuff.

Agreed.
I usually hate military and he's no exception. I find the actor bland as in not expressive enough.

a secret complaining about sam? groundbreaking

Right?? People shouldn't post secrets unless they express completely original opinions.

+1

Also, the person whose opinion this is probably didnt even make the secret. I know I personally will not make any more secrets about Tony Stark, for example, because we've had too many. But secret makers may still turn something I say about him into a secret, because they're looking for whatever secret-making content they can find. Not hating on secret makers, just saying.
