I've been organising a function someone else pushed for, and only three people have RSVP'd. It's in like two weeks. We need at least eight people for it to work (it's a murder mystery party). If this turn into another "Sit around and eat snacks and complain about people who ask for events and don't show up", I don't know what I'll do.
Probably come here to complain, honestly.

Can you send a reminder with a deadline and let them know it will be cancelled (the murder mystery theme bit at least) if you don't have 8 confirmed attendees by then?

I'm sorry you didn't have a better response. It sounds fun.

shit, I'd love to have a murder mystery party to go to. My friends are all too busy to do anything like that.

Do they usually RSVP? I find people have become so at replying lately. I helped out at two separate weddings, and there was so much confusion around who and how many people were supposed to attend, it was ridiculous.
Murder Mystery parties are so much fun, I hope you get enough people for it to work!
