Not all underappreciated fics are poorly-written. Most people don't "get" Shakespeare -- does that mean he's a hack who writes shitty plays?

I mean, he took three or four of the popular comedy tropes at the time and milked them into FOURTEEN PLAYS. Does that make him a hack and/or a shitty writer? I feel like you could argue this either way, really........
