The 2016 one didn't deserve the level of hate and arguing over it. I found it entertaining enough but not groundbreaking, which actually describes Ghostbusters II as well to be honest.

II was totally ruined for me when someone (rightly) pointed out that it makes no sense that suddenly nobody believes the Ghostbusters after all the shit that went down at the end of the last one.

It's like they wanted a point of tension similar to the EPA stuff in the first one but didn't know how to do it. Also yeah the baby plot isn't exactly interesting! I was scared of Vigo when I was younger but now I think it could've been so much cooler how they did that whole thing. Possession was already a well-worn path in the franchise as well.
